Kosher Certification
Kosher Certification is the stamp of kosher endorsement by a rabbinic Agency (Jewish dietary law) verifying they have checked the products ingredients, production facility and actual production to ensure all ingredients, derivatives, tools and machinery have no trace of non-kosher ingredients.
Kosher is a Jewish dietary law that was established over 3,000 years ago. The word kosher comes from the Hebrew word kosher, which means “to separate.” The practice of koshering is said to have derived from the Biblical practice of separating the pure from the impure and then boiling a pot to make the pure liquid kosher.
Stating this there are many more points which can define the Kosher system.
Companies use this process to increase sales, improve customer satisfaction, and protect their repute. This is one of the main reasons why many enterprises choose kosher certification. To ensure that a product is kosher compliant, the company must be certified. The process of getting certified takes time and work, but it is worth the try. Just like with other certifications, A kosher certification agency determines a product’s kosher certification status by examining it carefully, performing a range of tests, and then issuing certification in conformity with Jewish dietary law. It is vital to producers not only because it is one of the only ways to ensure the safety of the products being manufactured, but also because it is an important selling point for products.
A typical Kisher certification takes about a week to fortnight to be completed. People compare Kosher to Halal which is incorrect. The practice of Kosher is quiet different and more difficult to certify.
